The woman (pictured above) named Aisha Usman, one of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the Lamido Lawan model primary school, Girei, Adamawa State, has named her newborn baby after the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.
According to her, she named her baby ‘Buhari’ in honour of the retired General in order to remind her of the circumstances of the child’s birth. She and her husband were displaced from Askira Uba local government of Borno State when Boko Haram invaded their community in November 2014.

The death of one Matthew Ajibade who is a Nigerian has led to the firing of Nine cops in connection with his death in Georgia, US after he died in an isolation cell on New Year's Day.
Matthew Ajibade who was a 21-year-old student in Savannah, was arrested after police received a phone call about a domestic disturbance. Authorities arrived and saw Ajibade holding a women under a blanket, according to an incident report. Her “face was bruised, and her nose was bleeding,”
Woman Charged For Killing Her 1-Year-Old Son Moment After 'Kissing Him Then Throwing Him Off Bridge'
A woman named Johnesha Perry have been charged for attempted homicide, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated assault after she allegedly pushed her one-year-old son off a railing bridge into a river moments after kissing the little boy in Pennsylvania, US.
It was reported that moment after Perry pushed the little boy she then jumped from the 52-foot bridge into the Lehigh River herself. A police officer found the little boy 700 yards away, floating downstream, and performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The boy died, yesterday being six days after a week-long fight in hospital.

Egypt Seizes Football Star Aboutrika Assets
Egyptian authorities have seized share certificates belonging to former football star Mohamed Aboutrika after allegations that a company he founded funded the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood, judicial officials said.
The move against one of the country’s most successful sports stars comes amid a crackdown on members and supporters of the movement since July 2013, when the army ousted president Mohamed Morsi , Egypt’s first freely-elected leader. Aboutrika had publicly endorsed Morsi’s 2012 presidential bid. Morsi was overthrown in a military coup following protests after just a year of civilian rule.
WHO Declares Liberia Ebola Free
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Liberia free of the Ebola virus on Saturday, May 9th as the country has had no new cases in 42 days.
The Ebola outbreak has claimed over 11,000 lives in the region, and remains active in Guinea and Sierra Leone. But even though Liberia has been declared free of the virus, correspondents say the outbreak will have a long-term impact, having damaged Liberia's already fragile economy. "The outbreak of Ebola virus disease in Liberia is over," the UN health agency said in a statement. "Forty-two days have passed since the last laboratory-confirmed case was buried on 28 March."
