World Famous Ballet Dancers, Maya Plisetskaya Is Dead

Russian Maya Plisetskaya, one of the most famous ballet dancers died on May 2 in Germany as a result of a heart attack at 89 years old. Maya Plisetskaya who was born on November 20, 1925 in Moscow will be buried in Russia. In statement released by the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his deep condolences to the ballerina’s family and friends.

Plisetskaya had danced on stage for almost 60 years, 50 of them with the renowned Bolshoi ballet, winning numerous awards throughout her career.
