The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the APC and incumbent governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, winner of the governorship election in the state. Amosun won in 11 local goverment areas with 306, 988 of votes out of the 20 local government areas in the state while his closest rival, Gboyega Isiaka, of the PDP, won in nine local government areas with 201, 440 votes and The SDP candidate, Senator Kamarudeen Odunsi, got 25, 826 votes.
